Situated on the second floor and the master bedroom, the Old Bedroom (26ft x 16ft) is a charming romantic bedroom, combining history and modern day amenities. The en-suite in the Old spiral staircase and King John's 'look out' for the wet room shower is all part of the original Pele Tower.
The Shower room is part of a twelfth Century tower built as a look out for wolves; built by permission of King John after too many locals complained about being eaten. The Old Bedroom was originally furnished for a visit by King Edward 1 but he has now been superseded by a visit by Kevin McCloud of Grand Designs. The Peel suffered attacks by the Scots for hundreds of years. Even a Civil War skirmish!
According to legend the Old Pretender stayed here in 1715 so the Old Bedroom has seen a lot of action but is now a picture a gentile tranquility. Sash window to the North and stone mullions to the East. The en-suite with separate wet room shower.
Now famous for room that Kevin McCloud slept in on Grand Designs!
